Real Estate Purchase Tax Brackets for 2024
When purchasing property in Israel, the following purchase tax rates apply for primary residences in 2024:
✅ Up to ₪1,978,745 – Exempt from tax
✅ From ₪1,978,745 to ₪2,347,040 – 3.5% tax
✅ From ₪2,347,040 to ₪6,055,070 – 5% tax
✅ From ₪6,055,070 to ₪20,183,565 – 8% tax
✅ Above ₪20,183,565 – 10% tax
Purchase Tax for Additional Properties
According to Section 9(g1v) of Israeli tax law, a higher tax rate applies when purchasing a second (or additional) residential property:
✅ Up to ₪6,055,070 – 8% tax
✅ Above ₪6,055,070 – 10% tax

📌 The purchase tax must be paid within 60 days from the date of the transaction.
